An anomaly of V C ribbons

During the Great War all personnel from the Royal navy who joined the Royal Flying Corps and  won a V C wore a blue ribbon as shown below all the Poor bloody infantry (P B I ) wore a crimson ribbon.|But after the end of the Great War R.N. winners were sent a crimson ribbon on the R F C being disbanded and the Royal Air Force was formed
